Cubeware, the Business Intelligence specialist based in Rosenheim, Germany with seven additional offices in Central Europe and the United States, welcomed over 400 guests to its 14th annual Infotag – and showed that it is geared for the future. The new management team gave a preview of the company’s strong 2010 fiscal results with 11 percent revenue growth and over 200 new customers and projects. The company, which currently serves over 400 customers in SAP environments, also received renewed SAP certification for its products.
The event continued with strategic presentations and a product keynote speech outlining many new features as well as a clear roadmap for the complete Cubeware product portfolio. In fifteen technical sessions and case studies, attendees explored different ways to use Cubeware technology as well as partner solutions based on Cubeware. The highly motivated Cubeware team and positive visitor feedback authentically portrayed the enthusiasm both for the company’s products and philosophy.
14. Cubeware Infotag
Modern, consistent technology: new developments and product features Cubeware delivers flexible, intuitive software for building reliable, high-performance BI applications. Business users in midsize companies as well as departments in large corporations can easily build targeted solutions for analysis, planning, reporting and dashboarding. At the focus of this year’s event were the new functionalities in the BI front end Cubeware Cockpit V6pro as well as the ETL and modeling tool Cubeware Importer.
Cubeware Cockpit V6pro
Cubeware Cockpit V6pro 4, which will be released in the fourth quarter of 2011, provides many additional chart components such as miniature charts, sparklines, trend lines and annotations for the visual design of reports and dashboards. The front end also provides more built-in, intelligent planning features such as added allocation functions, cell freezing, commit and rollback options in data entry as well as custom workflow support based on chain reactions. To optimize the processes of automating and distributing reports, the software provides many new additions and improvements to its existing export capabilities.
Cubeware BI app
Cubeware BI app
Cubeware’s BI app for iPhone and iPad was another major highlight of the event. With this solution, users can access and edit all Cubeware Cockpit V6pro reports and dashboards from these mobile devices. Individuals can access dashboards as a complete report or individual charts, dynamically analyze data using filters, send reports as an e-mail, or print them via AirPrint. The Cubeware BI app, which completely uses Apple’s native controls and multi-touch functionalities, even allows users to switch between a black or white background.
Users can download the presented Cubeware BI app at the App Store starting in October 2011. This app can be used with all Cubeware Cockpit V6pro clients at no further cost. Thanks to the Cubeware Mobile Service Architecture, users can also work with the Software Development Kits (SDKs) of other smartphone and tablet PC vendors such as Blackberry, HTC, Palm and Microsoft.
Cubeware Importer Attendees were thrilled with the sneak preview of the next-generation Cubeware Importer, which is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2012. This ETL and modeling tool sports a completely new interface with drag-and-drop features and stronger graphical capabilities which make it even easier for business professionals to use. New mapping, job flow and script editors as well as an SQL query builder offer added support for these processes. The next-generation tool also provides additional features such as reusable mappings or read/write access to Web and cloud services. Cubeware Importer supports relational and OLAP modeling and connects to Cubeware Team Server for deployment as a multi-user tool.
